I am one of those weird Nigerians that isn't looking forward to japa for good. It's so serious that before I accepted my husband's proposal, I had to ask him if he had plans of relocating to Yankee. The human being gave me the answer that shared with my thoughts about leaving Nigeria. This doesn't mean I don't want to travel round the world. This is one of the things I look forward to doing in the nearest future, but I don't look forward to living outside Nigeria.
When I share this, many persons think I'm not okay or I love suffer. Lailai o! I love soft life more than I can even imagine.😅
Truth is, everyone differs and we all have the path that we need to walk to actualize our purpose here on earth. I understand that, and I'm walking my path.
Today is Independence Day in Nigeria, and I am proud to be a Nigerian at this time. It's amazing to see the force Nigerians are coming with to create the future we need. I have never seen so much enthusiasm to bringing in better leaders as I see now. I've never seen the force of oneness play out as it is playing now, especially within the youths.
The #ENDSARS movement metamorphosed into a force to change and shape Nigeria for the better. I believe a better Nigeria is here. I speak in faith. I speak believing.
Our scars as a nation would be the reason for us to find healing and our healing will be an inspiration to other nations and people.
I pledge to Nigeria my country, to be faithful, loyal and honest. To serve Nigeria with all my strength. To defend her unity and uphold her honour and glory. So help me God.
