One of the greatest lessons I've learnt......

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learnt this year is that total obedience to God and His word pays tremendously. I am indeed a practical example of that. Truth is when God gives you a personal instruction to move, stay, do, not do, it is very imperative that you do it as He has said. It might not make any sense to you, it would never make sense to others, and people would question, cajole, mock and want to anger you as a result of this. Some will even ask if you heard God well and ask you to give them a breakdown of what God told you or what where His promises or on what ground did He say you should do what you said you heard Him say you should do.

Friends, if you have received Christ and you move according to His word, His spirit dwells inside of you and He can minister to you in anyway. When you are convinced in your spirit that God has instructed you on doing something, JUST DO IT. Many may laugh at you, mock you, but believe me, when you are sharing your testimony for what God has done for you, they will join you to give thanks forgetting they wanted to stop you but if you don’t obey, they will cajole you for being stagnant.

I just want to encourage you to trust totally on God, there’s nothing more favourable than that.

When Noah found favour with God and was asked by God to build an ark for rain he has never seen, experienced or imagined before, he trusted God enough and obeyed. We all know as a result of His trust and obedience in God, himself and his household where saved.

Abraham was another man that trusted and obeyed God to the very last. The one that struck me more was in Genesis 22, when God told him to go offer his only son whom he loves and offer him as a burnt offering to him, Abraham didn’t murmur or complain he just obeyed and from verse 15-18 God swore by Himself and blessed him. God is indeed good.

Lessons
*Trust God
*Obey God even when it seems foolish and have a cause to testify.
We should always remember that His thoughts toward us are that of good and not evil to give us an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11).

A friend once told me that........

A friend once told me that "procrastination to do something you ought to do by a minute or a second can give you delayed result".
Delayed result was it for me cause I wondered why some things I ought to have achieved haven't come to play and why some people I know have delayed results in their lives and procrastination just keeps ringing in my ears again and again. It is more like an in thing for this generation.

You know, it is very easy to procrastinate doing a thing you want to do than actually doing it. It is easier to sleep than to wake up early to pray and go to work either as an employer or an employee, it is easier to eat than to exercise, it is easier to read a novel than to read your bible, more recently, it is easier to chat than to google something new to enlighten us. I can go on and on about the easiest things to do.

Procrastination according to the Wikipedia "is the avoidance of doing a task which needs to be accomplished.[1] It is the practice of doing more pleasurable things in place of less pleasurable ones, or carrying out less urgent tasks instead of more urgent ones, thus putting off impending tasks to a later time. Sometimes, procrastination takes place until the "last minute" before a deadline."

So i was asking myself why would you get a desired result when you haven't done what you ought to have done? I decided to do a little googling to help me explain the reasons we procrastinate and how well we can remedy them to get the desired results we want and not the delayed results we don't need.

CAUSES OF PROCRASTINATION
There were so many enlisted but I had to pick a few I could relate with and here they are.

1) Lack of motivation: I can so relate with this because there are moments when as much as I want to do what I want to do, I don't just have that push or drive inside of me to go ahead and do it. The only way i deal with this moment is that I look at the reason and the purpose for which am doing what needs to be done and this somehow braces me up to wanting to "manage" to do it.
For instance, writing on procrastination when I know that I do it once in a while, it's just because I had you in mind I could stay up to this hour to write and post this. Meanwhile, if am talking about procrastination, why do I need to procrastinate to talk about it?

2) Fear of the outcome: One thing is to not be motivated and another thing is your thoughts of your not getting your desired result even when you would have done it.
F.E.A.R- Future Events Already Ruined, False Expectations About Reality, Finding Excuses And Reasons or Face Everything And Recover.
You have to let go of your fears, work on your mind and do the needful. It's your choice as to what acronym works for you.

3) Laziness: Yes, yes and yes! Some of us are just simply lazy to do what we ought to. We don't have no excuse of no motivation or fear of the outcome, we are just waiting for the rush hour moment before we see reasons to do it. This can cause you a whole lot so be careful for laziness breeds failure.

4) Fatigue: This is simply physical or mental tiredness. Exhausted from your work, family, thoughts, not having enough rest, not sleeping on time and waking up early, etc are all ways to gaining fatigue. Truth be told, when you are exhausted you can't be so effective.
Give yourself a little rest treat, keep your eyes away from electronic gadgets for a few hours, relax your mind from all your worries, play soft music and travel to lala land within that time. Shut down your system totally and wake up feeling re-energized.

5) Lack of focus: Have you ever taken your time to ask a few people what they want to achieve within the space of five years and heard their replies? My heart breaks when I realize there are people without a vision, goal and focus. People who fall in this category are always prone to procrastinating because they really have no reason to do what they want to do. They might be doing it because they see others doing it or because it is trending at that particular period of time. Lack of focus is a terrible thing and an inexcusable reason to procrastinate.

PROCRASTINATION is something we all do and it robs us of productivity. Recognize when you are procrastinating and refuse to be a subject to it.

I rest my case.

DID YOU KNOW THAT......

Did you know that DETERMINATION + DISCIPLINE = SUCCESS?

Yeayea! I know you must have heard it before but have you taken a hard thought on it?
Our economy has so dwindled that even the least inexpensive meal in 2015 is like a 3 course meal now.

Am gonna shock you because I won't be complaining like we always do as humans or I'll rather say as Nigerians but I'll just say we can be really lazy and procrastinating.

We have so many resources as young people of our society but we don't harness them. We have our heads to think, we have our hands to work, we have our legs to move, we even have our mouths to speak but we always come up with the excuse that we don't have enough money to start what we want to do.
We all have phones that's why we can read from this blog, we always manage to subscribe no matter how small the mb is, we still manage to see a movie at Filmhouse, SPAR Mall, we still manage to buy something new for ourselves abi asoebi for our friends wedding, I could go on and on with this.

I always ask myself daily; how well have I used my mb today? what have I learnt today? how much knowledge do I have on that business I want to do which I have no capital for yet? what can I do now that would be a platform to my learning and meeting my target for the future?
We have social media as a platform to sell our abilities don't waste it just on pictures and videos. Do not be distracted, this is a WAKE UP CALL.

You have all it takes, be determined on your goals, be decisive on achieving them even if it's going to take a while, stay on track no matter how you multi diversify in your doings to get to your destination, pray, believe God that you will be a success and you will surely be the success that you already are.

It's in you, just work it out.
